About Us OntarioMD works with and on behalf of physicians to leverage information technology (IT) to meet the growing needs of patients and physicians. Established by the Ontario Medical Association and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, OntarioMD manages the EMR Adoption Program, which funds and assists physicians to acquire, implement and adopt IT. OntarioMD works closely with physicians, helping them transition from paper records to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and providing them with easy access to information and resources to improve the quality of patient care and practice efficiency.
