| Quality Assurance Manager QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER Our client, located in the Markham Scarborough area, is looking for an experienced QA Manager. Reporting to the Vice President, the Quality Manager, will lead the effort to maintain standards and improve overall quality system performance. The Quality Assurance Manager has primary accountability for developing and managing the Quality Assurance department and overall environment. The QA Manager develops and continuously improves plant procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for incoming raw materials as well as finished products for internal and external customers. Experience within the printing industry is preferred. Responsibilities: 1. Establish and maintain consistent and effective quality operating procedures 2. Responsible for all quality reports regarding content, timeliness and accuracy 3. Overall supervision of the quality system to ensure that procedures and practices are implemented place and being adhered to 4. Involvement in continuous improvement of quality procedures and practices 5. Ensure quality system integrity by departmental involvement in customer and supplier issues 6. Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, through tracking of customer issues, follow-up, analysis, and reporting 7. Management system document control 8. Ensure performance goals are met 9. Overall supervision of the daily functions of the Quality department Quality Management • Monitor, measure, and report on defective product returns, coordinating with Customer Service and plant departments to identify improvement efforts • Initiate and actively participate in preventive and corrective actions to achieve product improvements and reduced defects • Maintain up-to-date Quality Manual and Operating Procedures to ensure appropriate operational controls and compliance • Serve as Management Representative for the quality management system • Investigate and resolve all internal and external customer claims and complaints • Perform internal and external supplier audits • Conduct process, equipment and product validations • Develop, execute and report product specifications and test plans • Prepare training materials and coach staff in relevant areas of support • Use quality tools to analyze performance such as Statistics and Six Sigma Salary starting at $45,000 plus excellent benefits package. | |
