Flash Designer / Technical Artist We are searching for a full-time Flash Production Artist / Designer to become part of our talented team of game makers. The Production Artist will work within a team of developers to build fun, engaging user experience for the Flash game client. We’re looking for someone with a broad skill set, who’s ready to take on a variety of art tasks with a talent for illustration, graphic design, UI design, and animation. Most of all, we’re looking for someone with a willingness to learn and experiment with a team of creative and dedicated professionals with passion for creating games. Primary Job Function: - Responsible for building the art assets that help drive the visual identity and user interface of the product - Design and create art for Flash animations and UI elements - Re-create optimized assets in vector from Photoshop files - Responsible for preparing all art assets for use by Flash Developers - Work with Producers to understand game mechanics Qualifications: - Degree in Visual Arts, Design, Multimedia or equivalent experience - 3+ years design and animation experience - Proficient in vector and pixel art - Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite. - Proficiency with the Flash CS4 IDE with basic ActionScript 3 (relevant to UI design and scripted animations) - Must be interested in learning new technologies - Strong communication and time management skills, and the ability to collaborate with other team members in problem solving and creative direction Assets: - Knowledge of ActionScript 3 scripting - Game Development Experience - Familiarity with Adobe Catalyst or Flex Builder - Strong professional portfolio General experience: - Strong communication skills and service-oriented - Attention to detail is a MUST Notes: This is a Flash artist position; please do not apply if you have no previous Flash experience.
