| J2ME Software Engineer JOB TITLE: J2ME Software Engineer JOB TYPE: Full-time (perm) LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario COMPENSATION: Negotiable depending on experience Our client is looking for a talented and motivated J2ME SOFTWARE ENGINEER who is interested in working with our development team to build innovative consumer-oriented mobile products using mobile technology that will change the way we do business today. He/She must develop and maintain high quality code base, consistently delivering challenging, stable, and maintainable projects on schedule. Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements: The ideal candidates have: - University Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Minimum 3 years experience in software development (full SDLC) including: designing, developing, testing, documenting and releasing production ready software applications - Demonstrated ability to design, develop (coding experience are a must) and implement applications using J2ME - A commitment to writing easily understandable, maintainable code, promoting system maintainability - Knowledge of revision control systems, defect/feature tracking systems and formal release procedures - Affinity for unit testing, test-driven development, using and enhancing automated regression test frameworks Most Desired Requirements: - Experience with developing native mobile applications for the iPhone and BlackBerry - Experience with developing security related software - Knowledge of common encryption algorithms and fundamentals of PKI Skills: - Experience with building J2ME applications - Good knowledge of Java and object oriented design - Ability to work independently | |
