| Mobile Programmer Nanuk Wireless Inc., a dynamic University of Toronto based start-up, is developing Nanuk Share a context aware mobile framework that supports sharing and collaboration with users in proximity. Nanuk Share simplifies the sharing of media during face-to-face interaction by introducing a collaboration model in which users in proximity are represented as addressable objects that encapsulate the users' web applications and content. This abstraction provides users with an intuitive model for finding and sharing content and collaborating with nearby users. We are seeking a full time mobile programmer. In this role, the individual will be responsible over the following tasks: • Assist in the design and implementation of mobile middleware framework • Design and implement native phone based applications • Design and implement server side components • Assist in conducting alpha trials Requirements: • University degree in computer science or closely related field • Experience with Blackberry, iPhone or Android development • Experience with Web programming • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Personal Characteristics: • Self motivated • Team player • Commitment to the timely completion of developments to schedule Not required but nice to have: • Experience with Apache Struts • Experience deploying applications on cloud services, e.g., EC2. | |
