| Property Accountant We are currently seeking for a suitable individual as a Property Accountant for non-profit and co-operative housing projects in Toronto and surrounding areas. Responsibilities: • Prepare operating account reconciliations, variance analysis reports, and internal financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually) • Prepare annual CAM and TAX reconciliations • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations • Prepare GST remittances • Review A/R and A/P for appropriateness, accuracy and authorization • Read and interpret leases • Other duties as required Qualifications: • 2+ years commercial and residential property accounting experience required • Excellent conceptual, mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills • Strong understanding of operational statements, budgets and variances • Sound information-gathering, judgment, and decision-making skills • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written • Ability to develop and sustain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships as a team player • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work well under pressure, and manage tight deadlines • Advanced Excel and Word skills an asset • Yardi Genesis and/or NewViews experience an asset • Working knowledge of the SHRA or Residential Tenancies Act an asset • Able to work Monday – Friday with some evening hours required. • Drivers license and reliable vehicle is mandatory Please send resume and cover letter in MS Word or PDF format to: Human Resource Manager J.T.M.
