| Web Developer Internship Looking for a fun and exciting start to a career in web design and developing? Here's your chance to work in a stimulating production environment ! Corby Studios is a fun design and video production house. We create projects which range from TV programs, documentaries, to commercials; from graphic, logo, brand design to web design. We are currently offering student web designers and developers to gain real-life working experience in the design industry. Responsibilities: • Create newsletters and emails • Help with the development of seasonal and promotional marketing material • Keep current with changing specs and technologies within the Web and content portals. • Use XHTML and CSS coding to modern W3C Web Standards • Optimize websites in different browsers • Act as a support and maintain positive relationship with all departments • Collaborate with the Creative Department to create original concepts • Work closely with the marketing and advertising team to complete duties and projects on time in a fast paced environment. • Contribute to the overall creative development of digital properties • Website maintenance • Work under tight deadlines and pressures. Asset: Build Flash animations from initial concept design to production ready Requirements: • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or program dedicated to the development of computer or multimedia skills including website development and design or equivalent. • Previous experience working with website development and design, graphic design and multimedia technologies. • Excellent knowledge of web-related requirements (compression, encoding, streaming, CD-ROM, DVD). • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat. • Excellent knowledge of HTML (including CSS and Javascript) • Working knowledge of scripting PHP, databases, SEO, version code base (CVS), ASP.NET, VBScript, SQL, mySQL, RSS, Apache. • Ability to design tables without the aid of a design tool. • Good communication skills in English; second language is an asset • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
