Software Developer, Hardware/Devices Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Software Developer - Hardware/Devices to join us in our downtown Toronto office. The successful candidate will be a member of a device integration team that is responsible for the integration of hardware into next generation ITS control systems. The candidate is required to work closely with other systems integration engineers as well as various hardware, software, and mechanical groups to develop the product. Responsibilities: • Working with an experience integration team • Design/integrate/test applications for the toll industry • Manage and control payment devices, video, vehicle detection equipment • Work closely with user interface / web / database teams • Develop system controllers to manage complex interactions between devices Qualifications: • 2 - 3 years of relevant professional work experience with serial / IP communication, hardware integration and control systems. • Must be a self starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details. • Scripting skills are an asset. • Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
