| Event Coordinator Job Title – Event Coordinator for Event Production Company, Entry Level position Location – Toronto, Canada Position Summary: Working as part of a dynamic and creative team, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and logistical support of two Senior Managers in the implementation of the company’s Consumer Shows and Events. Strong communications and administration skills required. Responsibilities: • Coordinate details for consumer shows and events and ensure effective coordination and facilitation of details by phone, email and in person. • Outstanding organizational skills including the ability to successfully manage multiple projects • Assist with the development , writing and coordination of all diverse communication tools (brochures, presentations, ads, corporate videos, etc); • Experience in advertising, public relations, online marketing or similar • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media • Provide pre and post-show marketing support and follow up. • Problem-solve to ensure smooth logistics • Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment • Eager to meet or exceed objectives • Participate in social media, as a ghostwriter on behalf of the company • Direct maintenance and enhancement of key areas of our company website; • Verbal and written skills in French and English, including the ability to translate and edit in both languages a must • Demonstrated project management, organizational and professional business skills • Adaptable and flexible • Negotiate with contractors, order supplies and audiovisual equipment, make travel arrangements, order event signs, etc. • Aggressively gather information on each project to achieve quality event productions. • Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters. • Assist with managing on-site production. • Prepare nametags, materials, notebooks, packages, gift bags, registration lists, etc. • Database management Qualifications & Experience: • Degree/Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations or related • Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking. • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers. • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism. • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision. • Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality. • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches. • Self-directed and motivated • Organized with attention to detail • Flexible and creative problem solver | |
