| Field/Promotions Representative - Energy Conservation Campaign The Summerhill Group is dedicated to developing, implementing and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings. Currently we are seeking numerous field representatives to join our Toronto based marketing teams at Multiple Retail locations in the city of Toronto. Summerhill Group is looking for outgoing, energetic and dynamic individuals to deliver an energy conservation campaign, highlighting a clothesline giveaway. Key responsibilities will include travel to store locations, set up of event facilities, and providing customer service and education support through our program. Responsibilities: • Facilitate a product giveaway over three weekends from April 26 to May 11, 2008 • Working as part of a team, engage store customers in discussions about the program. • Provide education regarding energy use and conservation – training to be provided • Attend mandatory training April 19 & 20, 2008 (estimated to run from 10am to 6pm daily) • Work two shifts per week for three weeks, Saturday and Sunday April 26 to May 11. All shifts will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm • Complete administration and daily/weekly reports as required. • Greet customers and provide program specific education • Assist with management of large crowds of program participants Qualifications/Job Requirements: • Outgoing personality – must be able to proactively approach consumers and engage them in conversation. • Positive personality – must leave the public with a clear directive on how they can make a difference in a positive way • Be interested in, and genuinely concerned about energy conservation issues and/or other environmental issues. • Currently enrolled in, or completed post-secondary education. • Detail-oriented, punctual, conscientious. • Ability to juggle multiple duties. • A friendly and professional manner and appearance. • Ability to multitask • Committed to providing exceptional customer service • Ability to recognize significant or sensitive issues and when to escalate to the Project Team Lead or Manager • Ability to set up, assemble and move displays and other program materials • Ability to check, tally and accurately account for coupons and prepare for managerial approval • Able to work weekends and irregular hours • Able to attend a MANDATORY 2 day training event April 19 and 20. • Ability to speak multiple languages will be considered an asset. • Access to a reliable vehicle will be considered an asset Type of Employment: Part-time, Short-term, Contract April 19 – May 11, 2008 Salary Range: $13 per hour Location: Multiple Retail Locations in Toronto.
