Site Superintendent – Road & Bridge Construction Our client is a Mid Sized General Contractor working on a large number of private and often MTO (Ministry of Transportation) Projects all across Ontario. BUILD Recruitment is confidentially screening candidates for a number of open positions in cities all across Ontario as Site Superintendant on mid-large scale sized Road, Bridge, & Sewer works both new and rehabilitative construction projects. Key Role and Responsibilities: Run all aspects of an asphalt, bridge, or sewer construction operation, including equipment and processes. Monitoring cost control, quality, productivity, and safety on projects. Ensure safety for all individuals involved in the Construction Process Supervise onsite construction foremen, sub trades, and all onsite workers. Train, discipline, and provide positive reinforcement to foreman, operators, drivers, and laborers as necessary. Report directly to the owner Required Experience: 5 or more years leading paving construction & rehabilitation crews, bridge construction & rehabilitation crews, or sewer construction & rehabilitation crews anywhere in Ontario. A proven track record of completing projects on time according to all relevant specifications and standards. Highly Desired Experience: MTO Project Experience in excess of 10,000,000 CND per project A “from the ground up” experience in all aspects of Road, Bridge & Sewer Construction including using all machines, familiarity with complex problem solving, tradesman certificates preferred.
