Mechanical Estimator (Civil / Infrastructure Construction) Come join one of the largest employee owned construction companies in Ontario breaking ground on some of the most prestigious ICI and Heavy Civil projects across Ontario. We are currently searching for a Senior Mechanical Estimator that can prepare all faucets of an estimate with minimal supervision by our current chief estimator on large civil projects. Key Role and Responsibilities: Oversee a team of junior mechanical estimators assisting with bids on large scale projects in the civil arena Analyze and make crucial decisions between moving forward (or not) when reviewing tendering information. Prepare preliminary estimates for clients, engineers and architects as necessary Prepare & Submit change orders for ongoing projects as required Work/Coincide with General Estimating staff to produce highly detailed estimates Report to the Chief Estimator on staff Required Experience: 5+ years of experience with Estimating, Project Management, or Surveying on civil projects Gold Seal certification or eligibility preferred PEng, Construction Management, or similar educational background Strong command of the English language Highly Desired Experience: Knowledge of the Ontario construction market, key decision makers, and current projects out for tender A proven track record through references of being awarded projects throughout past employment Benefits of Working for this General Contractor: Outstanding track record of completing projects on time, and to the satisfaction of the customer Career stability, average employee working for this company for over 5 years Above average salary, RRSP match plan, benefits, bonus (individual & team), and car allowance Aware winning General Contractor in business for well over 25 years BUILD Recruitment is an ethical search provider specializing in construction jobs with today’s leading General Contractors all across Canada.
