| Senior Claims Administrator The Contract Senior Claims Administrator is responsible for supporting the claims administrative functions, while maintaining the highest level of service. The Contract Senior Claims Administrator’s role largely comprises of management of the Claims Care mailbox, provides occasional backup support to the Claims Administration team and assists with process and workflow improvements to achieve superior customer service, productivity and quality. Proficiency in Excel and a good working knowledge of Access is a must. Key Accountabilities Customer Service • Claims Care mailbox management ensuring: o Complaints and inquiries are logged into the database immediately and triaged to the appropriate manager for prompt investigation and resolution o Timely follow up on all items to ensure issues are being dealt with as expeditiously as possible keeping all involved parties in the loop o Reports are generated and distributed in a timely manner • Answer incoming inquiries promptly and professionally • Provide penultimate backup support to Administrative Staff, including answering Claims phone lines and setting up new claims • Together with the claims admin team, support the administrative needs of the Claims department • Initiate prompt and early contact with our customers Quality • Contribute to the delivery of quality Claims Service through prompt and professional interactions with internal and external clients • Assist Claims Examiners in maintaining files in accordance with corporate guidelines, including file correspondence and customer service responsibilities Productivity • Abeyance tracking of and attaining Department Reports - Large Loss & Reinsurance Reports: • Manage Large Loss and Reinsurance email boxes • Send monthly reminders to staff indicating due dates (Reinsurance) • Ensure accuracy of reported numbers in relation to the Fluctuation Report (Large Loss) and distribute monthly report to VP, Actuarial • Post Reinsurance Reports on the Intranet using Sharepoint • IBC Billing – review invoice and issue payment • Ownerships Tracking – log all received ownerships and forward to appropriate supervisor • Maintain Claims filing system and records Other • Assist with various projects as assigned by the Supervisor, Claims Administration; Manager, Corporate Claims Services and/or VP, Claims • Other related duties as required Key Competencies • Ability to maintain professionalism within department and role • Strong customer service skills • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; strong spelling and grammar • Ability to work independently as well as within a team • Excellent organizational skills • Detail oriented | |
