Job Description:
Manages by influencing others to achieve organizational business objectives relating to cost, delivery and customer satisfaction based through the use of quality improvement techniques and training. Key areas will focus on developing shared goals for quality measurement, generating product quality roadmaps, defining improvement action programs/projects for production, process and product audits driving quality education/training and consulting with the various functional units on how to improve overall business performance. Responsible for designing, implementing, quality training program and processes. The Quality 5 individual provides oversight of quality improvement to the senior staff and identifies areas for improvement requiring funding and/or policy changes.


Qualifications:
• Define, develop, measure and analyze the set of business quality metrics.
• Establish process improvement goals for all business metrics in a matrix model organization. Work with responsible functions to develop plans to achieve these goals.
• Establish plans for the Quality Organization including development of annual budgets and manage to meet budget targets.
• Develop and maintain core Quality competencies in support of the company's business plan. Develop personnel to ensure that the business has the critical leadership and technical skills base to meet commitments. Also, ensure that an effective personnel plan is developed and implemented to meet the future skill needs of the business.
• Program manage process improvement initiatives and tools such as Six Sigma.
• Develop and implement an audit schedule (internal and external audits) to ensure compliance at the program and functional level. Follow through with Root Cause analysis and corrective actions as required.
• Participate in the Process and Quality team to ensure Quality, Supplier Management reviews stds, New Product Reviews stds, etc.
• 10 years experience in a mixture of Operations, IT, Engineering, HR or Finance.
• 5 to 10 years managing quality improvement programs and/or managing a quality development function/dept.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated skill in critical thinking and problem solving.
• Program management skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Ability to present to many levels of audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a varied team of employees.
