Manufacturing Cost Estimator

As an estimator you are responsible for providing accurate and quality estimates in response to customers’ requests for the order and purchase of new and existing products, on-time per the customer’s schedule. Receives and reviews Request for Quote, using customer’s drawings, parts lists and related specifications. Creates estimated manufacturing hours for each component determined to be manufactured in-house. Summarizes each component to produce the overall quote costs. Specifies required tooling and programming costs (NRE). Meets established standards for productivity and quality. Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.
• Must be able to read and dissect blueprints to determine process surface treatment requirements, raw material and hardware requirements, cycle and set up times.
•Must be familiar with CNC machinery (milling, turning) grinding, honing
•Must be familiar with fixturing
•Knowledge of estimating parts using common and exotic aerospace materials
•Minimum 5 years estimating experience
•Practical machinery experience an asset
•Knowledge of CNC programming beneficial
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent MS Office skills
•Attention to detail is a necessity
