Named as one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada, we offer a flexible, supportive and amazing work environment RESEARCH ASSOCIATE - FULL TIME MARKHAM EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATELY As a Research Associate, you will support the Research Team and the growth of Saint Elizabeth Health Care’s newly established knowledge centre and grants program, the Care to Know Centre. The candidate will provide assistance in applied research through proposal development, implementation, data collection and analysis, and reporting for a variety of research initiatives. Reporting to the Research Manager, your key responsibilities include: • Assist with grant proposal development including ethics review materials, CV modules • Conduct literature searches and facilitate structured literature reviews • Assist with developing and selecting methods of data collection and measurement • Design and administer surveys and conduct focus groups • Participate in other data collection/input • Conduct data analysis and interpretation of results • Coordinate research projects • Ensure efficient communication, interact with stakeholders and flow of information related to research between team and partners as appropriate • Preparation of research reports • Fulfill a resource role for other research and clinical staff in relation to preparation of grant submissions, methods and/or tools for research processes • Identify research funding opportunities and communication to team Qualifications: • A Master’s degree in a health care related field or equivalent experience with 2+ years’ research experience • Expertise in compilation of ethics review materials, grant proposals and experience with designing surveys • Experience with MS Office software; SPSS, N-Vivo, Reference Manager is an asset • Strong web searching skills, including ability to locate funding sources • Solid organizational, time management, problem solving and coordination skills • Effective interpersonal and communication skills • Strong writing and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member | |
