| Cost Estimator for Manufacturing As an estimator, you will deal with the project management, marketing, purchasing, accounting, design, and manufacturing departments. This role requires the ability to talk in technical and financial terms about our individually designed products. You will exercise attention to detail as quotations prepared are based on exact specifications. Communication skills, both oral and written, are vitally important. You are a self-motivated individual who works well in a team, and on your own. Skills/Experience required: * Experience as an estimator in the field of manufacturing; * Production and/or engineering background; * Ability to read and understand mechanical and architectural drawings and blueprints; * Excited about working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment; * Must be able to prepare material take-offs from engineering drawings; * Will generate labour and material breakdowns based on input from engineering and purchasing departments. * Good familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word; * Strong communication skills - oral and written; * Adaptable to a flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines; * Ability to work in a team or on your own; * Experience in construction, exhibits, store fixtures and custom fabrication an asset * Working knowledge of SolidWorks/Autocad would be beneficial; | |
