| SAP BI Technical Analyst Summary Member of the SAP and BI technical teams with primary responsibility for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP-BI systems and functionality as part of the overall SAP and BI intelligence services provided by the IT department Responsibilities • Lead architecture and design and technical implementation of SAP-BI solutions including the development/expansion projects (i.e. BCS, SEM and similar) • Work as part of the SAP business analyst team; taking the lead on implementing, optimizing and supporting data upload processes – including troubleshooting any data load errors; technical design of cubes and multiproviders; overall performance monitoring and optimization • Work with SAP business analysts and other functional area experts in defining business requirements in order to design, refine and optimize data structures and sources within SAP-BI • Lead testing and documentation of developed enhancements and customizing changes • Provide expertise in SAP-BI interface tools including BEX Business Analyzer • Act as part of the report development team making use of native SAP reporting tools (such as SAP Business Objects) along with third party reporting tools such as Cognos • Carry out SAP configuration changes, testing, documentation in support of SAP-BI projects • Ensure appropriate User security/authorization levels exist in BI, and coordinating / testing any required authorization changes • Understanding of other SAP modules integration to BI (i.e. FI/CO, SD, PP, etc) Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a University Degree or College Diploma; or post secondary school education in Computer Sciences or Business; minimum of three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal technical training and experience in SAP-BI / SAP-BW is required. Previous experience and/or training in SAP or SQL programming, troubleshooting computer software and databases is required. Experience with one or more SAP-ECC functional areas from among SD, MM, FI, or PP is required. Interested candidates may apply online. | |
