| .net Developer Post secondary degree or diploma in computer science or software engineering. Minimum 7 years of application development experience in medium or large information systems environments. Job Responsibilities: -Develops new and maintenance requests systems to support ad-hoc information requests by client departments -Deploys new systems to the users - Writes system documentation -Updates systems with additional features, as requested -Develops reports to support the ongoing needs of the various departments and clients -Works with the Business Analysts to review the client's business requirements -Translates the requirements into system or functional specifications -Writes or generates code -Conducts unit and system acceptance testing -Manages the data upload process for the SAP systems -Assists in the resolution of technical problems Requirements: Knowledge of accepted software engineering and programming methodologies. Knowledge of relational databases technologies. Knowledge of Rapid Application development (RAD), middleware and gateway products. Knowledge of desktop applications and internet technologies. Knowledge of current information technology trends. Ability to code, test, debug, and document projects by applying knowledge in multiple programming languages. Proven experience with the following technologies: -Microsoft Internet Development Tool Suite -.NET, VB, C#, JavaScript, XML, Microsoft SQL Server Database -IIS (Internet Information Server) - Visual Studio -Visual Basic (COM+) -Visual Source Safe -Active Server Pages (ASP) -Sharepoint -Data Modeling or Warehouse experience preferred -Experience with SQL programming, relational database design and SQL performance tuning -Solid understanding of relational file structures / databases (technologies) Oral and written communication skills to discuss requirements, clarify technical analysis, and prepare project reports. Must have analytical and problem solving skills to gather data and resolve programming problems. Financial background would be an asset. | |
