| Inside/Outside Sales Rep- Protected Territory RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage customer accounts by: developing and maintaining sales plans and records; identifying key decision-makers; developing internal and external communication plans, maintaining product and service information; conducting periodic account business reviews to ensure their needs are being met. • Develop customer relationships by: communicating to identify and understand their needs; positioning products and services based on their current and future needs; keeping customers informed of new products and services; applying consultative/relationship selling strategies. • Plan and execute sales by: advance planning of sales calls; prioritizing business opportunities, accounts and target accounts within own territory; preparing and delivering proposals to customer decision makers that address and meet customers’ needs; coordinating sales calls with others and keeping appropriate parties appraised of status of sales • Expand the business by: identifying new opportunities; meeting with customers regularly to identify additional business opportunities or changing needs; making presentations to customer organizations to introduce products and services; asking customers for referrals and/or references as appropriate. REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES: • 3-5Five (5) years overall business experience (including sales experience). • Three (3) years experience in a business-to-business sales role. • Prior experience in new business development, acquisition and account strategy. • Proven ability to analyze and communicate customer needs. • Superior presentation, influencing and negotiating skills. • Proactive problem solving skills, relationship building and effective selling skills. • Results oriented, resourceful, team player, positive attitude. • Maturity, sound judgment, leadership presence and credibility, business acumen. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. | |
